Drainage Plugs

I have an Ace Celebration 500. Has anyone any ideas on how to get the two red drainage plugs out, located under the fixed bed near the main drainage outlet? They each have a collar which is designed to be lifted to allow the plugs to be removed for winterisation but ours are not for moving. Any ideas for getting them out, without resorting to brute force and breaking something, would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Robert

If they are the same as ours they do move but are difficult. I replaced the red plug with about two inches of hose inserted into the collar and an in line tap push fitted over the hose. Now draining is a simple matter of turning a tap. Hose and tap available at caravan accessory shops.

You have to push the collars towards the fitting or away from the pipe length

Sometimes its easier if you have a small open ended spanner the width of the pipe and use that to push sideways

Thanks John, Unfortunately I've tried using a spanner but the plugs still wouldn't budge.

Thanks Mike, I had thought I might have to do something along these lines, I'll give it a try.
