Hi

I am new to this site. We are travelling to Italy (Ca Savio Campsite, Venezia, this weekend. Have got routes from websites and are just about to buy an European SatNav to help as we have never driven further than France. Has anyone been to this place, and if so, what is the best route? Also, I am reading about Swiss vignettes - is this the charge for crossing the border or using the tunnel? How do I go about paying for this? Do I need to pay in advance here or pay in Swiss francs there?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Joanne

The Swiss vignettes are for use of the motorways and cost 40 Swiss Francs (or equivalent) a piece. You need one for the car and one for the caravan. You can buy them either at the border or in Euros at service areas close to the border.
