A friend of ours sent us this e-mail and we thought we'd share it.

This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here's the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be

the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in

the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

"Isn't Easter early this year?"

Easter and the associated holidays do not fall on fixed dates because they follow the Jewish Lunar Calendar and not the Solar Gregorian Calendar. Generally the first Sunday after the full moon that falls on or just after Spring Equinox (March 21st) is fixed as Easter. Easter, thus, may occur on any date between 22nd March and April end.

Easter is linked to the Jewish Passover not only for much of its symbolism but also for its position in the calendar. The Last Supper shared by Jesus and his disciples before his crucifixion is generally thought of as a Passover meal

It's just a made up date Colin the same as 25th Dec which has no mention in the bible and wasnt used until the 3rd century.

I'm afraid to tell you that a lot you believe is purely propagander from the church.

Funnily enough Lord B.

Geneticists believe that every woman has a single common ancestor born 150,000 years ago. Scientists call her "Eve" and every man has a common ancestor called "Adam", but it's also revealed that Adam was born 80,000 years after Eve.

funny old world ;O)

ps what did the women do for 80000 years. ;O)

Reminds me of the joke about God asking Adam what he wanted the first woman to be like. Adam said he wanted a woman who would always do as she was told, be respectful, always ready for sex, kind, humerous and would dote on him for life.

God replied " that will cost you an arm".

Adam thought about it and said " I'll take what I get for for a spare rib?"

The rest is history.
