Easy Coachman question!

Just when I fully understand all the systems on our Swift Challenger we decide to change our van and I’m back to square one!!
So, we take delivery of our Coachman Laser 575 Xtra on Tuesday and despite reading the manual have a simple question I can’t find the answer to.
We have the usual Coachman / Seattle panel fitted and I need to know when the panel is completely shut down (when we leave the van to go home for a week or so), will the leisure battery continue to be charged if the van remains connected to the mains via the EHU cable.

I don’t know. My Bailey uses almost the same panel. As we are on a permanent site it would be nice to keep the battery topped up. Most on our site leave their vans plugged into the post. But for the 3 month winter shut down, I thought this was unessessary. So I put the lead away out of the elements.

I am trusting that the 100 watt solar panel will be doing its job even over the winter. I will find out at the begining of March.

An interesting question. Not knowing your electrics system, I would think the best way to. Check would be to switch off your electrics as if you were leaving the van, and check across the battery terminals, with a multimeter for a voltage in the area 13.5 to 14.5, this would then show that the battery is being charged.
