And cheapskate businesses use to promote their business rather than pay for a website - but don't realise that non-facebook users can't access it.
I have set it so that no ads appear on the FB group I am visiting. Took awhile to find that option as it was really hidden away!

I find FB terrible for forums, and other things. Nothing stays still, there does not seem to be a logic to the posts. Searching is hit and miss.

Forums like this one are designed for the job.

I belonged to the Buccaneer owners club so very specific. At present I am a member of the Toyota and Hyundai groups on FB and they again are very specific nd have got a lot of valuable information from both groups. Forums are generally very wide ranging in comparison where for example black ice is discussed as the main topic in a specific thread.

I was not complaining about the quality of information, which I am sure can be excellent. But about Facebooks layout. You cannot choose topics for example, and posts are by date. Much scrolling needed to find older or specific information.
