Youโve also had problems seeing a pubs menu before deciding to visit or not.And cheapskate businesses use to promote their business rather than pay for a website - but don't realise that non-facebook users can't access it.

I have set it so that no ads appear on the FB group I am visiting. Took awhile to find that option as it was really hidden away! And cheapskate businesses use to promote their business rather than pay for a website - but don't realise that non-facebook users can't access it.
Who cares ๐ค๐๐๐๐What's a Face book?
I belonged to the Buccaneer owners club so very specific. At present I am a member of the Toyota and Hyundai groups on FB and they again are very specific nd have got a lot of valuable information from both groups. Forums are generally very wide ranging in comparison where for example black ice is discussed as the main topic in a specific thread.I find FB terrible for forums, and other things. Nothing stays still, there does not seem to be a logic to the posts. Searching is hit and miss.

I was not complaining about the quality of information, which I am sure can be excellent. But about Facebooks layout. You cannot choose topics for example, and posts are by date. Much scrolling needed to find older or specific information.I belonged to the Buccaneer owners club so very specific. I simply use the search button however it can be difficult to navigate around.I was not complaining about the quality of information, which I am sure can be excellent. But about Facebooks layout. Actually no different to using a forum if you stick to a specific group. Start wandering around and you could end up in the mire!AYE, it's easier on here for us auld codgers ๐
I have just joined Solar Panel Help UK Group on FB to my listI find FB terrible for forums, and other things. Nothing stays still, there does not seem to be a logic to the posts. Searching is hit and miss.

What AI says, which I agree with.Actually no different to using a forum if you stick to a specific group. Start wandering around and you could end up in the mire!
Correct as groups do not have specific sub forums. Although not a great FB user I have not had any issue finding information that I required. What AI says, which I agree with.
โForums are like a discussion platform as compared to Facebook groups which are completely unorganised. We can't see the reputation of the user at Facebook groups, crappy search feature, repeated questions etc... The only advantage is the ease of access, a dedicated Facebook app icon on your mobile phone.โ
Chalk and cheese comes to mind.
I am a member of 3 FB groups. Not useless, but nevertheless lacking structure and logic.
