ECOMEL Shower heads

The caravan has the standard Swift Cariflo shower head. It is good quality compact chrome unit which has a short stubby handle right up close to the head. However, it's quite awkward to use especially when hands are soapy and its output can be likened to a "jet wash". Also being compact and heavy it would damage the sink and surround if dropped. So I was going to replace it with a conventional shower head but then saw the advert for Ecomel ones. Whilst I don't buy into all that the advert claims I would like to know any user experience of the basic Ecomel shower head. Thanks

Morning Clive,

We've had two now, previous van and current van. I obviously can't use it but Jenny and the girls are quite happy with it and J certainly says it's better than the "short stubby" option in previous vans. The only downside is when you've just got everything dried out nicely and water drips from the air inlet holes.

We have the head in our caravan and it produces what we regard as a perfectly good shower and frankly we have notoced no real difference from the previous caravan. The pressure you get probably depends on the efficiency of your pump though, but if it uses less water, that is less for you to lug to the caravan.

Very happy with the Ecomel shower head fitted as standard in our Bailey. Water does run out of air inlet holes after show is turned off but I have fitted a suction hook to the shower wall turned sideways so I can hook the supply hose into it when showering finished water the runs back down the hose and drips into shower tray.
