Hello All,
I have recently ordered the above model for delivery at the end of February, and I know that some folk have already taken delivery of this van , if you have I would appreciate a report on your findings.

Hello Gordon,

No idea about the model you have ordered but I would be very interested to know more about build quality, fit and finish and any teething problems once you've got it, as we keep coming back to looking at the new Compass Camino 660.

Hi Martin, Happy New Year.
Yes I will gladly share my thought on the new van with you once I have taken delivery.
On the build quality, I have inspected the show model at the dealers quite thoroughly and I liked what I saw (hence the decision to buy that model) it uses what Elddis call, "Solid Construction", where the sides are one piece and as such they are stronger and lighter, also they give a ten year damp guarantee.
I will report more later.

Hi Gordon,
We took delivery of an Avante 550 last weekend (a dealer special version). Only spent 3 nights in it so far but the weather was awful and we stayed warm and dry. Finish is very similar to the show model we saw at the NEC and no faults so far -- it all feels pretty well put together, but as this is our first 'van we don't have much to compare it with. The layout works well and it seems well equipped too. Only time will tell.......

Hi Tony,
We took delivery of our Elddis Avante 550 two weeks ago and spent four nights as a trial run last week. We love the van and the layout but had a couple of faults with it which we have returned it to the dealer for them to fix. The main thing was not van related but with the Powertouch Classic movers which didn't have enough power to climb the leveling ramps to level the van, also it would not engage both sides from just one side.
The end bedroom is great, no more making beds every night. The heating was lovely and warm, I like the touch screen control, all in all a lovely caravan. Hope you have a lot of pleasure from yours.
