Dear readers

I and my wife bought a elddis firestorm from new and with in the first six months it started going wrong water started to flow over the fridge when my wife pulled the plug on the kitchen sink and i had to fix it on site the pipe hadn't been put on properly, the fly screens keep on wipping back up the plastic hooks on them were bent and the blinds kept going in the wrong channels the fly screen on the door kept on sticking and coming out of its channel and the back light kept on going off and on so i fixed that.

But this year first holiday outing we are on a campsite up scotland and theres only one shower you are feeling lousy with the midgies so my wife went to get a wash down in the washroom in the caravan and when she emptied the sink what did happen the water started comming from behind the toilet and it flooded the showeroom so it spoilt our holiday, took it back to the dealer it was going to cost a fortune to fix so we are getting rid our last caravan a luner ultralite was better made and i would not have another elddis again.we are going to be owners of a new van soon a bailey and i think we will have happier holidays from now on has any one else had problems with this model or make.

Hi Ian, you obviously have had problems with your Firestorm which is not good enough from a major manufacturer but to come to the defence of Elddis I have had a Firestorm 630 fb for nearly 3 years now and have had no problems at all.For a van which is based on the entry level Avante I think they are of very high quality and are priced very keenly.

I wish you well with your Bailey but would urge you not to dismiss an entire range of caravans based on your experience with just one. Brian (",)
