Hello all ive been caravanning for 30 years plus and my last 3 vans have been two berth, and have exchanged them at five years old. my last two have been the sprite a very lightweight easy towable van, but now I am getting older I have looked around and ordered the elddis 304 xplore, a completely different layout with an L shape lounge and its the four berth model instead of the two. I got it as its lighter and smaller in length and width, so its easy for me to handle, now its bugging me as to have I done right.so is there any one who has one of theses and be honest enough to give me the pros and cons of this little van, and on an exchange of the five year old sprite, I got ยฃ800 more from a dealer in Lincoln to that of one in Norfolk and nothing was to much trouble for them, thank you for reading, Edd

I have some recent experience of a 2013 Elddis Xplore 302. This is a teeny tiny van, and the two berth version of your 304. It is a super little van. Bit of a Tardis inside, easy to tow, very lightweight. Your 304 is a bit bigger and the dinette will give you the flexibility of somewhere to sit, when the bed is made up.
OK in a van of the size of the 302 you have to caravan a bit differently to a big fixed bed model, but you soon adapt. I am a convert to the L shaped lounge, gives oodles of floor space, we easily fitted the dog in as well.
Can't compare it to your Sprite as never owned one, but I think the Xplore range is excellent.
Hope this helps

We looked at the Xplore range at various dealers, before settling on Lunar Venus 320/2 which we purchased privately. ,Much of a muchness in the big scheme of things although we felt more at home in Venus.Very light at 905kg, so doddle to tow and move on site. We leave the bed up all the time and vitually live in our small porch awning which takes 25 mins. to ect, Just got back from a 1000 mile trip to Arbroath Scotland at -19. so everything had to wok and it],did! You have to have strict regime as to who is where, but once this has been established.........love everything about it and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"FUN" which this hobby is all about,
Good luck!

Not had the Xplore but we have had two caravans with the L shaped lounge and would have one again if we could get it in a caravan that suited us. The lounge does give you more room, but can be a bit more restrictive if you have a lot of people to feed, so it depends a lot on how you use it.
Hope it works out well for you.
