Can't comment on these specific models. I have a Mobicool which runs off 12v only. I have a mains to 12v converter so I can plug in at home for an hour or so. It's then transferred to the car whilst travelling (still running from the 12v car socket)and the contents put into the caravan fridge once on site.

Very handy bit of kit IMHO. I can't drink warm white wine!!

Hi

We have the campingaz, but the 24 ltr cool box, and it is brilliant. It keeps everything very cold.

Some cool boxes can be noisy, but ours is very quiet.

Thanks

Sam

I've had both of these over the years - both OK as far as they go.

When these boxes wee first introduced, Halfords had a thermostat which cut off when the temperature got down to a few degrees C. this meant you could leave it on all the time. If you do so with most of the modern boxes and are in a place when it gets chilly or cold overnight, they keep running and will get the contents down below freezing ( 20 degrees below ambient) which wrecks all the salad stuff which normally shares the space with my wine etc. Given the price of salad these days this is not desirable.

Quite easy to forget to switch them off ( and on again0 in the morning. I guess the best idea would be to use them with a mains adapter itself fitted into a mains time switch, but this is even more stuff to carry about.
