Hello all, just back from a cracking week on the East Coast, but I think I've blown something on the van electrics. Got a 2007 Elddis Odyssey 524, the in-laws came to stay for a night - so we set up a fan heater in the awning, all seemed well but the electrics tripped at about 4am - only the inside fire and sockets are affected, checked the flat fuses and the tube fuse on the heater in the van - all seem ok, but I cant get the breaker to stay on in the wardrobe? Can anyone help or do i need an electrician? Any advice on electrician if i do need one? West Yorkshire area.

Thanks

Hello Mark, firstly, the flat fuses should all be for the 12v system so they should not be causing any problems.

Is it one of the circuit breakers or is it the RCD that's not resetting?

If it's one of the circuit breakers I wonder if it's faulty. Have you got 2 of the same rating so you can swap them over and see if the fault swaps with it?

If it's the RCD which won't reset I can only suggest taking the front of the socket off and checking for insects or loose wires.

Obviously this is done without connecting the electric hook up. Only connect this up when you've finished checking.

Hope this helps

some circuit breakers trip to a middle position. To reset them you have to put the trip switch down & then reset up fully
