Electrical Problem

I have a problem That when my caravan is on mains and I touch the door frame, subframe, any metal, I can feel a slight tingling in my fingers but only if I have no shoes on. I presume it must be an earth that has come off but I don't know how to find it. The van is a 2004 Bailey Pageant Provence. Can anyone suggest where I should start looking please

First thing is buy a neon mains checkers. i.e. the type that looks like a mains plug with a red back and has 3 neon lights in side.
They cost about a fiver on ebay

This will check if it's wired properly.

Hello Greybeard,

Whilst Reg's suggestion of the tester is a useful addition, the fact that you have found a problem and that you needed to ask about it strongly suggests that you are not familiar with the wiring regs, and the methods of fault finding. Under those circumstances, it is essential for your safety (and that of others) to get the caravan and the EHU cable checked by a competent electrician.

Better to be safe than sorry.

this must be a short or a earth problem try a earth spur from a body like a leg to a spike into the ground if it still apears it more of a problem then call a man that can.
