Hi all, we're totally new to this caravanning lark. Just bought our first van, an old eighties one, and on plugging in the towing cables, it blew the side lights out on the car! I'm quite handy but know nothig about caravan electrics so where is the best place to go to learn about batteries and hook ups and caravan wiring etc. I'm not hoping to become an expert just want to know the basics. Hope someone can point me in the right direction! Thanks very much. Amanda
 
Haynes make quite a useful 'Caravan' book like the car workshop manuals. As you are quite handy it makes a useful reference book.
