Now into the final week of our three week adventure to Europe - presently at camping pruemtal in oberwies in rhineland-palatinate - fantastic site with excellent facilities including swimming pool and a great restaurant - initially at camping birkelt in larochette Luxemburg - followed by camping medieval in turckheim alcase then onto camping alpenblick near Interlaken - thank you to the contributors on this forum for directing us to all of these excellent sites - perhaps a final night close to Amsterdam before heading home to loch Lomond via dfds seaways ijmuden/Newcastle - perhaps someone can suggest a decent site close to Amsterdam
 
we have stayed at Delftse hout at Delft and visited Amsterdam,about 45 minutes drive.
Park and rides are easy to find http://www.iamsterdam.com/en-GB/experience/plan-your-trip/getting-around/parking/park-and-ride or trains every 30 minutes from Delft Station
