Hi Folks
Does anyone know if there is anywhere to park overnight when you get off the Euro Tunnel in Calais like you can at Calais/Dunkerque docks?
Any info would be great as we have never used the tunnel before. We are looking at traveling next August!
Thanks

There is not anywhere at the Tunnelas far asI know. We would always stop at a bonefide site anyway to beon the safe side in France especailly around that area.
We always travel out very early morning (3.30 am) and just stop for Coffee and fuel when we get to Belgium and then we stop for breakfast and another coffe stop on our way to our first site in Germany arrivingfor luch. Set up,rest abit have early supper and bed at 8 pm and then feel normal the next day. On the way home we always stop atthe Castle site at Guines just 15 or so minutes from the Tunnel. You could book in there for the night.

This summer was the first time we used the tunnel, crossed early morning so no need for a stop over. I really don't think there is any where at the tunnel terminal where you can park overnight, we just seemed to drive off the train and we were on the motorway heading south within minutes. Never saw any where you could park up.
For the return journey we stopped over the night before crossing at Camping Bien Assise at Guines, only about 15 minutes drive from the Tunnel terminal. They seemed geared up for late arrivals/early departures for ferries and tunnel. A large site, member of the Castels group, large pitches, appeared clean and well run.

Depending on what time of year you are travelling you can pull onto Bien Assise at Guines - 10 - 15 mins from the tunnell. You just pull onto any vacant pitch near reception area and check in the next morning.

Hi Wendy.
If you have stopped at Calais dockside parking area before, as we have with no problems at all. Why not drive the 5 miles to Calais from Sangatte and kip at Calais?
