European cover for touring caravan

We are going to France for about 7 weeks and require quality breakdown cover for the Caravan whilst touring to include all the usual attributes.
I have considered both Red Pennant and Arrival but with them both they cover both the car and the caravan. We enjoy full Breakdown cover with our car (Skoda Assist) and it seems ludicrous to purchase duplicate cover to get the caravan covered.
We can't be the only ones with this as I know that BMW, Honda, Merc and others also cover the car for a period after purchase.
Can any one advise please?
Many thanks,
Nosnehm

I am afraid that you will have to take out cover for both the car and van.
I was not able to find a recovery service that charged only for the van when I bought my Kia which had 3 yrs free RAC cover.

Having had diabolical service from car manufacturers warranty recovery schemes, operated by AA/RAC, I always maintain my Mayday (Green Flag) cover which has given much better service on the three occasions I've needed them.

I've no experience of Skoda Assist but for foreign touring I'd simply get Red Pennant and sleep easy.

I must say that I have had nothing but first class service from RAC arrival on the three times I have had to call them. All three times were on the continent.

Does the Skoda cover actualy incude repatriation from abroad as the makes I have had did not include this in their cover. The problem with having the car and caravan covered seperately would be what happen if you did need both bringing back and they came back on two different lorries at different times. You could find yourself having waved off one and bing stuck in France waiting for the other with out time to collect the first part when it arrived home.
