Even more advise about sat dishes....please

When we go off in the'van, we take the SKY card from our SKY+ box at home and use it in the plain SKY box in the caravan.

We can receive all the packages....news pakage, entertainment knowledge etc.....but cant receive Sky Sports and the Movie channels...any help or advice would be appreciated

Because you subscribe to premium channels, Eric, your card is locked to your Sky+ box. You can ring Sky and ask them to allow it to work in the standard box by giving them your card number and the box serial number but then it probably won't work in the Sky+ box again without yet another phone call to Sky.

I say "probably" because I'm not sure if they will allow it to work with more than one box at a time. I would think this is unlikely because otherwise, people would be able to share their card with neighbours/friends/family and this is the reason why they lock viewing cards to one box to prevent this happening.

Oh, and the easiest way is to take your Sky+ box with you and use that instead of the standard box.
