.... but unfortunately not caravan related.

We rang our regional water board on Monday about mid-day saying that a manhole cover (over a shared sewer) on a path in our property was cracked and could be a danger. The phone rang about 6pm that evening and the emergency team asked if they could come in 10 minutes and assess it, which they did. A further phone call was received on Tues morning asking if they could come and fix it the following morning (Wed) at 8:30am. Job now all complete (new manhole cover and frame) by 10 am this morning (Wed), free of charge. :cheer:

It isn't often we can sign the praises of a utility company, but I will in this instance.

You seem to have posted this in the wrong place. This section is to "Express your views and let off steam about general caravanning issues."

Woodlands Camper might have cracked the manhole cover by towing his caravan over it
Chill out Chalky, I often have a bit of a general forum tidy up whenever time allows, but time hasn't allowed recently.
If you're really and truly bothered by forum posts sometimes appearing on the 'wrong' message board the best way to alert either Damian or myself is via the 'report' button which generates an email alert and we'll move the thread as soon as we have chance to ;)

is it really that important that it was in the wrong area?
In the great scheme of things the answer is of course 'no'.
We use different message boards to group similar topics together for ease of reference more than anything else, and this is more valuable when technical questions are posted.
Forum members with the necessary expertise or experience tend to look at and reply to the Technical message board more readily than, say, the message board containing jokes or gossip.
Of course we'd like to think that this website and forum contains something for everybody, but we do try to keep the technical issues together whenever possible. :)
