Excess sealant

Just bought my van in March this year brand new straight from the factory. My question is, should there be sealant showing all round the main seams around the roof and awning rails. And would it be ok to tidy it up by removing the excess?

P.S I am talking really excessive.

Ian, If it's brand new - it's under warranty, ring your dealer explain you want the unsightly excess removed ( if for no other reason it will attract dust & grime very quickly )and get them to do it.
