External Lockers sticking

I noticed when I went to our caravan last weekend that the external locker doors seemed a bit stiff to open, as though the rubber seals had sealed the doors a bit too much. They've not been used for a while over the winter and it could just be the constant cool, damp weather we've been having but can anyone please suggest a remedy for this? I've seen suggestions of vaseline or cooking oil in various forums - has anyone tried these or got any other suggestions?

Cheers

Claire and Rob,

Whatever you do, do NOT use vaseline on any rubber, or rubber compound seals, it will cause irreversible damage.

Same goes for "cooking oil", it is of no use whatsoever.

The best remedy is as has been said, spray with silicone spray, available from Halfords etc, or spray some on to a lint free cloth and wipe around the seals.
