Extra TV outlet?

On my Adria I have what I believe is called a 'wet locker' at the front on the side where the awning goes. Inside there is a convenient 240V socket and I would like to fit a TV outlet so we can get TV in the awning. Problem is that the TV amp is on the opposite side at the rear so I don't want to run a cable all that way if I can help it.
Any reason I couldn't get at the coax going to the outlet opposite the door, and fit a splitter 'in-line' and then run a short length to the wet locker? Would I lose too much signal? I have a spare amp, identical to the one already fitted in the rear if I really need to use it.

Hi, I did a similar thing at home. It will work but only if you use one TV at a time. You will loose a lot of signal if you try to run two tv at once. I am not sure if an extra signal booster would overcome ghat problem but no harm in trying, you wont blow anything up.

Go ahead as suggested.
If the signal is too weak for both tvs buy a signal booster like the ones you have at home.
They are cheap and easily available.
