Extra Worktop Space?

Hi, I have seen a couple of caravans for sale with a extra flap / lift up work top particularly on Avondale Argentes. Would anyone know where I can purchase one either universal fit or a Avondale one bearing in mind they have gone out of business?
 
Caanot help you as to where you can get one but years ago all our Swifts had a slide out piece that came out immediately below the worktop. They were really useful and would be even more so now that kitchen work areas seem to have got smaller over the years. Cost cutting I guess by the manufacturers put an end to them. I have seen DIY versions done to increase the length of the worktop but nothing that comes as a kit.

I really don't believe that caravan designers have ever tried to place food onto two or three dinner plates with the available worktop space which is available in most vans, particularly the fixed bed, end washroom variety which now have half the size sideboard top of the side washroom type. As I've said before,practicality comes a very poor second to flashy design! Has anyone else noticed the lack of response by designer chappies to our comments?

I had a van with a pull out worktop and for what it must have cost to make i cant think why its not done now.
 
When I got my old van it had a flap that went down over the seating area but I took it off, last week went away for the first time ever and oh boy we could have done with that fold down flap.

Now were did I put it...
