Dave,

Do you have the window in the door of your van? - if so, are you able to pull it down to a desired opening or does it just slide down slowly until it is fully open meaning if its open it has to be fully open?

Hi Val. Yes we do have the door window but I'm not too sure as to it's operation.

Having said that, Dee says it has been down once in Scotland on a nice day. So yes, it will just be the once! heh,heh.

Seriously,I do seem to remember openning it a touch and then watching as it slid down to the bottom.

I may be wrong, but I do believe that is how it works as opposed to being able to 'crack it open' for a bit of fresh air.

I'll double check this week when I'm over at storage and let you know for sure.

Val, I,ve just come back from the van and yes,it's as we thought.

There are no pre-set stop sort of thingies on the door window.Only the catch at the top and a long slow slide down although it gets stiffer halfway down so you have to give it a slight tug.

Thats the same as ours then - rather a strange affair but nothing surprises me.

You won't believe whats happened now - in our drinks cupboard the floor of the cupboard was unsupported. It went back to the dealers and we now have a line of screws (not countersunk and also in at an angle so the head is proud) which have been screwed from underneath upwards into the upper locker. It looks an absolute dogs breakfast and I am just so upset its untrue. It just beggars belief that they can fit a microwave without so much as a fixing showing and now they do this.

The spring came out of the wardrobe door light thingy at the weekend and the sealant is coming off in the shower area. I just despair.....

Obviously we know how you must be feeling, having gone through a similar trauma with ours. But,nonetheless, you really do have our sympathy.

We too have loads of screws on show that have been put in by a blind one-handed twoyearold.

We have one panel with a vertical row of eight brass c/s screws, all of which have gone in at varying angles. When you run your hand over them you can feel the sharp edge to one side still proud.And to cap it all,they didn't even rub out the pencil marks made for the screw positions. Poor,very poor.

Still, that won't make you feel any better about your van.

Let us know how you go on - I presume you'll be taking it back.

I bet you'll be taking back the compliments you heaped on your dealer aswell!
