Family Field Sites

We have two young children 2 and 6. The traditional 'terrace' line type layout of many campsites we find makes supervising our two kids difficult as the line of sight is obscured by the caravans etc. We love the Woodhouse Farm site in Ripon as it has a family field, where the caravans/tents are located around the perimeter of the field. The kids get to play in the open centre of the field where we can easily keep an eye on them. Does anyone know of any similar sites?

We are in the same position as yourselves. We have two young children (2 & 5) and also a dog. It is our first year of caravanning. Initially started out on large sites (3 trips) the start of year, as we felt more for kids to do. Ended up we could not really settle as their kept wandering out of view. But found a much better way. As we are in caravan club decided to use a CL site.

First site near Bedale. We took the kids bikes and outdoor games etc, wide open spaces, lots of one-to one with the kids. Lots of room (almost an acre) with only a max of 5 caravans. Now we can really relax ourselves.

Over the past month also been to CL sites near Northallerton then Malton. Both the same. Great sites and owners, lots of space, and the kids and ourselves really enjoy ourselves. Also the dog settles easier as less distractions.

It might be not for everyone, but my wife and I have decided to stick to CL sites in the future.
