Fangfoss Park, near York

Hi there, we are planning to stay at Fangfoss Park near York, and are looking for any comments good or bad regarding the site and facilities eg: toilet / showers, presentaion of site, etc.

We do have 2 young children but do prefer a quiet time.

Used to go here a lot when first got our van 5 or 6 years ago, but not recently as the prices started creeping up and up. It's based in an old station and is nicely laid out, with a small play area. The toilet block was clean and had good showers. There is a small shop selling necessities but little else. A quiet site, but if still the same, a lot of workers living on the rear of the site. We did like the site, but like I say haven't been for a couple of years as getting pricey. Near enough to visit York (use Park and Ride) and getting to the North Yorks Moors, Hull and the coast, Bridlington etc. Stamford Bridge is about the nearest place with decent shops for groceries.
