Hi all you gals and guys - thank you for the interest in the request for me to return to this forum. I have been very quiet for the past few months as some time in the summer there were a few postings which I found very upsetting and insulting - not to me personaly but in general to the human race - the Moderators had the decency to remove them (not from K***a but from regular contributors who suprised me). However as there is such demand for me to return HERE I AM.
Regarding Lord B and his idle threats to kill all Welshmen in Hereford on a Sunday I can say I have ventured into that area and returned home alive and well - this gives me the impression that his bark is worse than his bite and he is a big softy with a true heart of gold, however I may be wrong.
I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas and that a bright and prosperous new year awaits you all.
I have now sold my MOTORHOME and bought a 2007 model Ace Jubilee Envoy with fixed bed - very comfortable so I assume that from reading other postings regarding m********s I am accepted as member of the crowd again.
Once again best wishes to you all for the coming new year.
Lord B. I was pleasantly surprised at the developments that have taken place in Hereford since the mid 1970s. As a young building surveyor I spent a few weeks in your fine city doing survey work and stayed in a very nice hotel to the right of the covered open market area. The hotel was a genuine "olde world" structure with beautiful period architecture both inside and out.
I worked on schemes for two new office blocks and the modernisation of a shop just opposite Marks & Spencers - the shop was once a chemist with fine basement vaults - we used 200feet of extension cables to carry out the full basement survey.
The people of Hereford were as helpful then as they were on my last visit - mind you I do not recall the rain you mentioned.
I think that as we now live in an "United Kingdom" it is time to call off this form of hatred between the Welsh and English (except at rugby internationals) and shake hands and become friends. What say you? I am offering the English the hand of friendship so that we can all live in peace and harmony for the new year.
