Hi there. I have decided to go with your recommendation of Elm Cottage caravan park. However I have read reports that it may be noisy due to the A road outside. Did you think this was the case? Can you remember which pitch you were on? Any hints or tips? Thanks for all the help.

Emmy, I'v stayed on both the site proper, and on the rally field, and have never found noise to be a problem. I can't remember the pitch number, but it was right opposite the office. When I was on the rally field (twice), there were twenty-odd of us, so the road had plenty of competition! Overnight noise, though, was never a problem. The only thing we ever found a minor irritation was when they were building the new Police HQ, some of the contractors stayed on site, and left for work at 6.45 am, but that job is finished now.

The Shrewsbury Arms just down the road does good food, and a good pint of Guiness, with a shamrock on the head!

Say hallo to Chris and Chris from me, please.
