Hello Ray.

Thanks for the reply about West Bay.

Can you tell me of any places of interest down there in Dorset for adults and children.

Thanks again Will

Will , there are literally dozens ranging from the likes of Monkey World and Bovington Tank museum to the sandy beaches of Poole harbour (Sandbanks & Studland), Bournemouth, Weymouth and Swanage. There is the Swanage steam railway which runs from Swanage to nearly Wareham. There is a firework display and entertainment every Thursday night on Poole Quayand it is a good family atmosphere. The west of the county is mainly pebble beaches. Go to www.resort-guide.co.uk and select Dorset.

If there is anything further you want to know, possibly about a particular site, then just ask.

Two points regarding Ray's reply: Studland beach to the far end (near car ferry) is a nudist beach - becareful with children if you are easily offended. Secondly if it is not too late take the last cruise around the harbour. The boat stays out in the harbour waiting for the French ferry. On arrival of the ferry the fireworks start and you will have an excellent view off the tripper boat rather than on the quayside. We are going to Pear Tree Farm at Sandford, Wareham on 30th. June for two weeks.
