Wendy,

I lost the internet and my son in law ( Mr.Fixit ) was away on holidays, so I am only just back in business!

How was your holiday ? Hope all went well.It looks as though you had a brilliant spell of weather.....hope the midges weren't too bad for you. What did your relatives think of Bonnie Scotland?

We're off to Northumberland for a few days at the end of the month, and then in Sept.we are heading south to Devon and Cornwall which will keep us busy for the best part of a month.

Really looking forward to that.

Hiya Maureen

We had a lovely holiday, thanks, and the weather was beautiful!!

The midges were quite a different story though, they were OK when we were up in Altnahara, but Inverewe Gardens was horrendous, we all caked ourselves with repellent, but still got bitten. It was worth it though, when you see such fantastic sunsets!!

Our daughter and son-in-law loved it - really upset they had to go home! :O(

We've got another three weeks to come, last week of August, first two in September. At a bit of a dilemma with what to do, as we have our first grandchild due on Sept 15th, and looks as if she could be early! We feel we should be around for the big event. We are toying with the idea of coming to the Borders, and then play it by ear. If we have to go home early we will, we are thinking of possibly pitching up on a local site in Norfolk for a couple of days, and then go off again somewhere rather than going home :O( We'll see what happens!!

Have a lovely time in Northumberland. ;O)
