Feature on West Cornwall-July issue of PCV

Excellent article. Just one ingredient missing.

Where to get a seriously good cream tea!!!!!!!!!

Our two favourites - in order of quality and value for money are:

1) "Little Pengelly", Trenwheal, Leedstown, Hayle.

Not much to look at when you arrive, but through an alley and you're into a most beautiful garden with patio and conservatory if it rains. Lashings of cream and jam with home made scones.

It's got a website: www.littlepengelly.co.uk

2) The Station Tearooms, Lelant Station. This is not to be confused with Lelant Saltings Station which is the Park and Ride stop for St Ives.

This is in a lovely shaded garden setting overlooking the Hayle estuary. Not many trains at this time of the year - I think maybe one an hour in each direction-so you won't be disturbed that much.

In return for these can anyone recommend a good shellfish stall in the area. We like the shop in Fish Street, St Ives but blimey, he ain't arf pricey when you think that the sea is literally only 100 yards away!!!!
