February NEC Caravan Show

As well as visiting the Practical Caravan Hall at the NEC, why not visit the brand new Caravan Sitefinder Internet Cafe too?

You will be able to put your feet up, enjoy your picnic lunch and even write reviews of some of the sites you have stayed at.

Haymarket put Caravan Sitefinder on their website so is it a part of the same group?

Reading the website it says it is so that's probably the reason she can advertise Caravan Sitefinder :O)

Is caravan sitefinder a new monthly title or yet another site directory. If its the first I have not seen it round our way yet, If its the second I still have not seen it round our way yet.

To be honest it seems to be another source of advertising revenue for Haymarket. You can type in your own comments and mark the site out of 5 stars. I've done a couple already but strangely some sites aren't on there, sites like Threeways C.C. or Sherwood Forest Caravan Park, that's just two I've looked for.

Again, strangely, theres a Forum link at the top of the page but for that you have to register again although you've already registered for Caravan Sitefinder.

There doesn't seem a way you can add sites yourself so it probably comes down to if the site itself is prepared to pay. Hopefully I'm wrong because other C.C. sites are listed.

Cheers lord B, I have been over for a look and as you say it has the PC endorsement at the top of the page. I notice in another post that Haymarket are saying that they have no plans to merge the two sites but it seems a strange way to run things.

I guess we can only wait and see.

I have asked how the sites are selected Marc. It seems odd that some C.C. sites are and some aren't.

Haymarket did indeed purchase Caravan Sitefinder in March of last year, however the site itself has been around for a lot longer and will in fact be celebrating its 10th birthday later this year.

We want Caravan sitefinder to be as comprehensive as possible, and as such if you do notice that any sites are missing from our directory, please do not hesitate to contact me at Victoria.Hanson @Hyamarket.Com and i can have them added to the directory.

The aim of Caravan sitefinder is to help people make a decision on where to stay based on people's reviews. Some of the parks also allow online booking meaning you can book your holiday there and then, without having to go the caravan park directly.

With regards to having a different forum log-in to the one for the rest of the site, we are looking into a solution that will mean only one log-in is needed, however for the time being you do need to have the second in order to post on the forum, as well as write a review.
