Just spent 5 nights at this site , those who use this site will know that that it has two types of pitches one site being hard standing the other being grass, For the past 8 years we have always used the hardstanding upon arrival we were informed that two pumps had failed which serve the main toilet block for the hardstanding site, making it unusable, we had the choice of either pitching on the hard standings, and walking over to the other block quite along walk , so we decided to pitch on the grass, which was very wet due to the heavy rains that the site to add to the problem this weekend loads of motorhomes all shapes and sizes where being directed over to the grass pitches (motorhome show at the Peterborough showground).
There have been a lot of moans about the sort of treatment received bye wardens on various sites, but I can only give praise to the efforts taken by these wardens during the time we stayed, the weather on some days hail thunderstorms torrential rain, they were there directing people to the most suitable sites for their transport.
Can advise that the new pumps where operational from thursday morning for the hardstanding site.
