Fiamma help!!

I have a cartridge based Fiamma 45 sun canopy fitted to the side of my van. There's a gap between the 'cartridge' and the van so when it rains the water pours down the side of the 'van.

Any Solution? I thought it would be sealed?....

There is a part you can buy to cover the gap, have seen it a few places.
