Fiamma Sun Canopy

Used a Fiamma Caravanstore Sun Canopy for the first time in France this year and ended up with small dents in the side of my van where the 'legs' went into the small white plastic holders. Whilst I might admit to having extended the legs a shade too much, and thereby exerting too much pressure onto the side of the 'van, does anyone have any tips on what to use behind the plastic to prevent excessive pressure on the side of the 'van.

Get a good thick sponge from any DIY store, cut it in half, and place against the caravan. This should prevent gouging next time.

We use this method on on Suncamp awning and it worked well.

I have had this problem and several vans have had marks on the side from the Caravanstore legs(rafters)

Later ones have a plastic holder as you describe and I have had no dents from that

I put pieces of UPVC behind the rafters and the behind centre one which has no built in pad I used a plastic surface socket box for a mains electric light switch

This I fixed to the canopy bag with velcro
