Filling my empty nest!

Hi
I'm new to caravanning, well to touring anyway. Spent loads of hols as a kid in static vans and have always hankered after revisiting caravans since. Next year, my house will be empty of my babies as the last will have left home (sob) so to keep me busy and do something for me (for once ) I'm getting myself a new baby, in the shape of a caravan! I'm hoping PC forum will be a useful point of information for me over the coming months as I decide which van to purchase and where to site it. I'm hoping to go for a seasonal pitch, as I don't fancy towing around alot. Looking forward to becoming better informed 🙂

Sulkydame you will be able to change that name when you get your van to..... Happydame

Welcome to the forum and enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. A tourer on a seasonal pitch is a great way of having the flexibility of a tourer and the advantages of a static without being tied to all the contracts and restrictions that come with static ownership. Lots of advice on here. Keep posting

Hi Sulkydame
I live surrounded by static caravan site on Sheppey so could help you, or would know someone who can offer opinions about sites. You did not say where you are from. If London then all well and good.

Hi - Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Happydame sounds good! (Im not generally too sulky) I'm on the south coast between Portsmouth and Southampton. Don't want to travel more than an hour from home, so East Dorset or West Sussex really.
