filter removing tool

Hi, we own a Coachman Pastiche, and we are getting ready for our first outing with it. I am trying to locate a tool that will help me remove the filter cover easier, but I cant seem to find anything suitable. Does any one know where I can purchase such a thing, or has anybody got any suggestions that will enable me to take the cover off. Thanks in anticipation,

Roy.

Hi Roy

Do you have the carver screw in type?If so a pair of pliers across the middle and unscrewed anti clockwise does the trick.New one in put some vegetable oil on the o ring then do up by hand. You will see the stop on the screw thread, dont overtighten or you will crack the screw housing.

Thanks a lot Mikey you've been a great help. Cheers, Roy.

For the screw in type filter, I used a piece of broom handle with a slot cut in it to unscrew it. Does same job as a pair of pliers but spreads the load over a greater length.
