Hi there, I recently purchased a 1990 Elddis Cyclone GTX. we are new to caravanning and thought this to be suitable as a starter van, generally all seems OK needs a liitle scrub and clean, in desperate need of new carpet but otherwise good for year. anyway it has two small reading spotlights at the front like a lot of modern vans these days however I'd like to add more to make feel more homely and modern, i was thinking under the cupboards in kitchen area and in the rear lounge area possibly looking at fitting about 4 or 5 in total. Any advice on the above, how to do it, wiring, how many I could add, etc, would be much appreciated. Many Thanks Andrew.

Hi Andrew

I found getting a Haynes Caravan manual one of the best things I first did when I went from tent to caravan. There are other manuals as well but Haynes certainly covers the bits I have needed.

As for the lights - have a look at a "Towsure" cataloque or go to their website.

Better still if you can visit one of their three stores in the UK - no worries if you carn't the web/tel ordering service from the cataloque is very good.

I have seen all sorts of interior lights/wiring/switches for sale at Towsure so you should find all you need there.

Hi Andrew,

Agree with Clive - now that Caravan Electrical only sell to the trade - one of the best places for you to go would be Towsure.

And the Haynes "Caravan Manual 3rd Edition" at around
