Fitting Rear Camera

I'm in the process of fitting an Autovox W7pro reverse camera. Question is what is the best way to route camera cable. Due to Solid build and insulation there isn't a cavity to put power box and aerial.
Will I invalidate warranty if I drill a small hole behind number plate and thread cable down and out through rear light harness grommet?Any suggestions welcome
 
This will apply to other makes and I would post it in technical.
Not sure about the warranty, I would ask Eldiss to get the official answer.
