Has anyone considered/done this, if so how? I would like some way of setting the time for the heating to come on early morning as we don't like to sleep with heating on.

Look forward to your suggestions.

Dunno how you`d go about sorting the ultraheat out for timer use, but we have a small mains fan heater with an ordinary household timer switch. It comes on twice in the night for 15 mins, then switch`s on again around 7am ready for when the kids wake up and drag us outta bed.

John, this idea is quite feasable Take the output flex from the switched side of the spur unit wire this to the output of your timer (Try a Timeguard timer)Then feed the timer from the output of the control spur If in any doubt consult a competant electrician.
