Flyscreen spring tension

Hi Folks,

I know this request has been answered loads of times before but I just can't find any related answers in the forum search so would be grateful for any help.

How do you re-tension the fly screen spring in the Heiki roof light.

Thanks

Graham (Ponty)

First, remove the trim pieces on the surround. Remove the screws securing the surround and blind (an extra pair of hands can be useful here). The roller rods can now be seen.

The roller rod is located in a slot in one end. Pul it out of the slot with a pair of snipe nose pliars and add a couple (or more) turns to re-tension it (don't let it unwind) and then put the rod back in the slot.

Ensure that the tension is equal on both blind and flyscreen or it will move across on its own. This is by trial and error.

When you are satisfied with the tension - re-fit.

Hope this helps. - Mike
