I can't comment on this exact model, but I towed our 1500kg Sterling with a 140hp manual 08 reg Galaxy and was impressed. We used it as a 5 seater and kept the two rear seats folded away, which gave a van sized boot allowing for most of our caravan bits and pieces (eg awning, acquarolls, campchairs) to be carried there. Towing wise even the 140hp version had plenty of power, though 6th gear is very high so we used to tow mainly in 5th. Fuel economy was pretty good too for such a big vehicle, around 45mpg solo and 30-35 towing depending on towing speed. Downsides - we had the Edge model, which was a little basic and some of the plastic trim was a bit cheap looking. Also, it didn't have a spare wheel, or anywhere to carry one, just a bottle of tyre sealant. Crazy. However, the only fault it had in 75,000 miles use (including caravan trips to Venice, Spain (twice), and France (3 times) was a tail light bulb. So if I wanted another large MPV I'd buy another one.
