just purchased a galaxy 2 litre petrol not tryed to tow yet with it got a two berth alpine sprite light weight any ideas on miles per gallon it will give me

Not wishing to upset you but I think a 2 ltr petrol Galaxy towing a caravan may do less than 20 mpg, I might be wrong and others may say different but I would'nt get your hopes up.

is it old or new galaxy we borrowed an old syle galaxy 2.3 petrol and it was horrific on fuel solo,less than 200 miles to tank ,the diesel is loads better and pulls great .Get 25 to 30 towing Indiana and 38 to 45 solo

If it is an older used model, you coudn't have picked a worse version of the Galaxy. A bit of research would have told you that the 2.0 petrol version is very poor , thats why they are so cheap. Everyone in the know wants the diesel so prices are higher. But as in everything in this world ,you get what you pay for.

Slow and thirsty sum it up.

However the new Galaxy has a much more powerful 2.0 engine.

If you want some real advice, sell it and buy the diesel model.
