Ford S-Max 2ltr tdci

Hi All
Just changed my towcar from a Mondeo estate to the s-max and took the valencia out on a shakedown run to York. I found this vehicle to be very capable and stable when towing with plenty in reserve.it is the 143 bhp titanium model. I had a witter tow bar fitted but now my parking sensors don't work correctly,but can live with this.
The OH and I are looking forward to venturing further afield in August with this outfit,hope the weather improves before then.

Have you had a Ford dealer set your computer for a towbar? You'll probably need to do this (at about £85) to get the 'towing' characteristics all working properly.

Thanks for your reply, my Towbar was fitted at an independent garage, but nothing mentioned about reconfiguring settings. I have looked on the smaxoc forum and yes, it looks like a trip to the dealers to get it sorted
