Forum Membership

I have just had a scan of the recent topics, when I noticed at the bottom of the page the list of the 30 members currently on the Forum. What really surprised me, in a good way, was that there were 20,927 visitors currently logged in. My point is why do they not join the Forum and give us their input, specialised knowledge and unique points of view. There is no cost to join, and as I have said on a few occasions, I have learned a great deal about caravanning in the 4 years I have been involved. As a member you can ask for help and advice, as I did when I started, and the very knowledgeable members will be very forthcoming with their considerable experience.

Could the magazine give more space to the Forum to encourage readers to join?

So to all you visitors I say come and join us and make the Forum even better.

Many forums have this apparent issue - in each case lots of people around the world will find a forum entry while Googling (other search engines are available) and then do something quite different but as many people leave their PC's on continuously they may not appear to go.

In addition, there are huge numbers of spybots watching the internet, looking for the chance to infiltrate - these programs will often generate new entries in their own right.

Or maybe I've got it all wrong and one of the Admin can explain it differently.

George,
I am a member of this forum and look at the various threads on a daily basis, but if I have nothing valuable to add, then I do not log on. I only log on when I need advice, or I am able to add my view to other people questions.

Best Regards, Lappy

As far as we know, forums are like many things online – lots of people sign up but only a minority contribute. The forum does get a mention in mag and across our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Google+). However, as one of the most popular parts of the website, we know it receives a very healthy number of visitors and we hope that everyone, whether they contribute sometimes, daily or never, finds it a friendly and useful resource – and comes back time and again.

I have been a member for a while now and do log on regular.

I do submit views on the odd accasion when I have somthing to say or a bit of advice.
