We show 4 small dogs so normally have to use cc or c&cc sites or CL or CS sites as commercial sites will not take more than 2 dogs.
Next Friday we are off to Great Yarmouth for 14 days then home for a day then to a CS between Bath and Bristol for 10 days then to Malvern for 8 days. Then home for a couple of weeks before we go again.
Retirement is heavy on the pocked with the cost of diesel, site fees and show entries but we only live once so we make the most of the van as we can

We compete in agility with ours. We have 4 border collies & a little girl we adopted last year who looks a bit like a golden border collie but behaves nothing like one - probably a golden retriever/hound cross.

We know what you mean about finding holiday sites willing to accept multiple dogs - we rely on CL/CS sites, where we find we can normally get more space & at less cost. With camping at agility shows, it's normally a farmer's field with a couple of stand pipes & an Elsan point. so even the most basic CL/CS can seem like luxury :)

Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending on how you look at it) I'm still in full time employment, so we don't get to use the caravan as much as we would like. In a good year we're away about 65 nights, which isn't too bad. We are away most weekend between Easter & the end of September at shows. Come retirement day ( a few years away yet I hope) we'll be away significantly more. Like you say, we only live once, so like you we make the most of what ever we can.

You are lucky as we have 4 x Yorkshire Terriers plus two cats, however we only take the 11 month old cat with us as the younger one thinks he is Houdini. The older one is no problem and loves being in the caravan with us. Pity we cannot post pictures from our PC.

Lizzie, being small dogs they sleep in two fabric cages on the side dinette seats. Just say "bed" to them and they jump into the correct cage for the night. During the day the cages are in the awning
We have on very hot nights let them sleep in their cages in the awning but we keep the caravan window open into the awning so we can hear them..

It sounds like you have two perfectly behaved hounds! Any photos you can post?

Hi everyone, I just thought you might like to know about some special offers on a dog friendly campsite in Devon. The site allows you to bring as many dogs as you like and doesn't charge extra for them. There are also discounts such as 'seven nights for the price of five' and midweek special deals. Here's our blog: Dog friendly holidays for less. Hope it's useful to you if you're heading for Dartmoor anytime.

Hi
some of the small Camping and Caravan sites except dogs with no questions asked, the silly thing is its the people with 1 dog that just let them out are a lot more of a problem than show people with 10 dogs, If you stayed at Champ Show at Builth Wells with 300 Caravans and 3000 dogs and let your dog out . . . .we would have a riot, Show people have to keep control of dogs

see you at Bath

Uncle Ben, you are correct, when we are at Builth Wells or any champ show we use purpose built panels around the van so that the dogs are contained.
When we are on CC or C&CC sites we are often asked where we purchased them but we have only seen the panels for sale at dog shows
