Hi Erica
We have simalar problems here in the Cotswolds. We have had Sky installed for years as the analogue signal is very poor, so that we don't watch tv through a snowstorm. When Freeview started we understood that we wouldn't be able to get the service until the about 2010 when the analogue signal was to be switched off. However I recently discovered that one or two of our neighbours have freeview and have all the channels. Checking the website that was able to tell by the postcode whether you could get freeview, it still said not until 2010. Anyway we bought a cheap freeview box from Tescos and found we could get most of the channels except for ITV and Ch 4. We have just bought a DVD recorder with a hard disc and builtin freeview (quite an expensive one) and still no ITV or 4. However when the barometric pressure was very high last week lo and behold ITV and Ch 4 appeared with a good signal, but has now gone again as the pressure dropped, so behaving in the same way as radio signals. We've tried moving the aerial but no differance. Weird or what. I wouldn't mind a difinitive answer to this one.
