I would like some advice on French bank accounts. We have been travelling to France for the last 6 years and I thinks it's about time that I opened a bank account. At some 24h garages you can only get diesel using a french bank card. Can any one gave me ideas for the best bank to use. I would be grateful for any advice and suggestions. Thanks in advance, Helen
 
I understand that the HSBC have a chain of French banks but I do not know which. Have a word with your local branch.
