I have a fridge in my horse lorry with a red switch and green switch please can anyone advise which switch i have on whilst it is on electis hook up at home charging the leisure battery , the red one is smaller and they both have a 0 and l do i have it 0 or l for on ? and also what temp should i run it at until i get to the horse show then i switch it on to gas

The green switch is for the mains heating element and is the one to have ON when connected to the mains supply.
The red switch is for the 12v heating element for use when driving (it will only work when the engine is running)
O is OFF, I is ON
On12v there is no temperature selection available, it simply runs at its working temperature all the time to maintain the temperature of the fridge.
Best bet is plug into mains overnight before you go to cool the fridge, then change to 12v as you start your journey, then on to gas at the event.

Any idea what temp should be on when it is on green switch on the mains at home? is 1 colder or warmer ?
Assuming you are talking about an Electolux, 1 is warm, 8 is cold. Try 4 and go from there. You can get a refrigeration temperature guage from most supermarkets / stores for a few
