JohnM said:No fridge can be run off a battery. They can only be powered by a running car engine (12v) via the grey cable from caravan to car and usually whilst driving along; from a 240v mains supply or gas, the latter two obviously when you are pitched. Most modern fridges will run on all three 'fuels'. This is usually indicated by a (misleading) battery symbol for the 12v, a two pin plug symbol, (again a little misleading as UK plugs are usually three pin) for 240v mains, or a flame symbol for LPG gas. These would usually be found adjacent to the control knob on the fridge. To try to run a fridge directly from a battery would flatten it in a matter of a few hours maximum so would be of no practical use.
